FTCME 2024 is an endeavor of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sinhgad College of Engineering, Pune to bring together and provide a platform for experts from Academia, Industry, and R & D institutes to interact, deliberate, disseminate, exchange ideas, share knowledge, and develop a common vision for future developments in the field of Thermal, Design and Production Engineering. This conference will provide a platform for sharing original research contributions and innovations among students, researchers, academicians and industry professionals in Mechanical Engineering. You are requested to contribute research papers, articles and recent case studies on themes and sub-themes at the conference.
The Gateway of India, located in Mumbai, is an iconic monument and one of the most recognized symbols of the city. Built in 1924 to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary, this majestic arch stands as a testament to Mumbai's colonial past. Situated overlooking the Arabian Sea, the Gateway of India offers breathtaking views and serves as a popular gathering spot for both tourists and locals. Visitors can take boat rides from here to explore the nearby Elephanta Caves or simply enjoy the bustling atmosphere of Mumbai's waterfront.
The Ellora Caves, located near Aurangabad, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for their exquisite rock-cut temples and monasteries. Dating back to the 6th to 10th centuries, these caves represent a unique fusion of Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain architecture and artistry. The site comprises a total of 34 caves, including 12 Buddhist caves, 17 Hindu caves, and 5 Jain caves, each adorned with intricately carved sculptures and ornate reliefs. Among the highlights are the Kailasa Temple, a colossal structure dedicated to Lord Shiva, which is considered one of the largest monolithic structures in the world. The Ajanta Caves, also located near Aurangabad, are another UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for their rock-cut Buddhist cave temples and exquisite murals. Dating back to the 2nd century BCE to the 6th century CE, these caves showcase some of the finest examples of ancient Indian art and craftsmanship. Carved into the horseshoe-shaped cliff of the Waghora River valley, the Ajanta Caves consist of 30 caves adorned with intricate sculptures and vibrant frescoes depicting scenes from the life of Buddha and various Jataka tales. The caves offer a captivating journey through India's rich artistic and religious history, making them a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts and history buffs alike.
